The Family Pondman
The family Pondman is an ensemble that exists out of five talented children out of one family in Holland. In the lives of Lili, Liza, Lonne, Walther and Alain, music plays a very important role. Their Father, Fransiscus Pondman was a blessed opera-singer and is coaching them since their early years in the musical profession.
The Children are having musiclessons at the conservatory in Zwolle, Netherlands, as at the "Zwolse vioolacademie, of Adriaan Stoet. Furthermore, they get lessons in singing from their Father. Their musical development is going as quick as lighting. Several times they took part in National Musiccompetitions, like for instance Jordens Viooldagen en the"Prinses Christina Concours", invariably with execelent judgement.
Since their early childhood, they also perform frequently in public together. Initially only instrumental, but more often also with vocal elements. After their documentairy “the family ensemble” was broadcasted on National Dutch Television, not only the Dutch audience, but also from around the whole world, people are becoming familiar, through for example Youtube, with the Family Pondman’s kind of music making. And for that fact, they gave for instance several concerts in Vienna, City of Music, the past few years, with comments like: “we don’t have such a family in Austria for sure!”. Also their performance during a national live- television program called “De wereld draait door”, caused several concerts in Concert halls like Hoorn and Deventer Schouwburg. The garden concerts from Wibi Soerjadi, this year, which they were invited on, was undoubtedly a step to the bigger audiences.
